CushyCase was founded by Criss Hochhold, a practising Canadian lawyer whose work includes estate planning, privacy, cybersecurity and data-breach response.
That experience shapes how CushyCase is being built: around real legal workflows, intuitive document creation and client interaction, with security and privacy treated as fundamental design requirements rather than features added later.
Experience responding to cybersecurity and privacy incidents also brings a practical perspective to the protection of legal information: what can go wrong, why controls matter, and why security has to be considered from the outset.
The objective isn’t more technology. It’s a stronger practice.
Experience in privacy, cybersecurity and breach response has influenced CushyCase’s architecture from the outset. Security and privacy are treated as design requirements throughout the platform, not features added after the product is built.
